What you will do

As part of the Communications Services branch, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of operational and strategic communications plans to ensure corporate goals are achieved. You will provide professional consultation services and advice to clients on communications strategies.  You will be part of a team that is responsible for: media relations; social media, including monitoring and analytics; issues monitoring; website content development; speechwriting; video scripting; advertising (social media and traditional methods); and stakeholder relations.

Who you are

You excel at managing relationships with internal and external clients at all levels. You have excellent consulting skills with a service-oriented approach and an ability to listen and understand client requirements.

You have exceptional skills and extensive experience writing for different mediums and audiences. Demonstrated, strong project management skills with the ability to lead a project team, balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

What you bring

Your background includes a university degree or postsecondary diploma in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related discipline and at least five years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in communications at strategic and operational levels.

You have experience writing with Canadian Press style.

You understand graphic design and print production technique and have experience liaising with designers and printers on projects.           

You possess advanced computer skills in the area of industry standard desktop design as well as Microsoft Office and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing business needs and priorities. Strong social media skills and experience with Google Analytics is an asset.
